Langkawi Island 3 days 2 nights trip

It has been long time since i last updated. C=

i was just went back from the 3 days 2 nights langkawi trip with my classmates.

Langkawi is a combination of "Lang" and "Kawi". "Lang" comes from the local native malay word helang which means eagle and Kawi means "red". In the past, the land was a home to innumerable red-eagles(helang Kawi).

Last Tuesday (12th May 2009)

• 7am-took bus to KL from TI 
• 10.30am-reach PUDURAYA 
• 11.00am-reach KL Central (took taxi for RM15 so expensive huh?!) 
• 12.00pm-reach LCCT Airport 
• 12pm-1.30pm- check in , took lunch in MCD 
• 2pm-3pm-KL to LANGKAWI

5pm- Beach activity

Wednesday (13th May 2009)

• 8.30am Took breakfast at Langkasuka Hotel 
• 9.30am our 1st station- 7 well **

Seven Wells (Telaga Tujuh) - This waterfall is named after the seven natural pools along its path. Legend has it that fairies used to come down to the pools to bathe and frolic. There are 2 viewing areas at Telaga Tujuh. The lower area is at the base of the waterfall and the higher area is where the 7 pools are. Be warned, to get to the 7 pools, you would have to climb 600+ steps which can get quite slippery when wet.

Thirsty!~Orange juice ♥♥

• 12pm 2nd station- Cable car **

Take the Cable Car to the summit of Gunung Mat Cincang at 700m to walk across the sky bridge and have a spectacular view of the islands including neighbouring Thailand. Valuable Trip. RM15 per adult. Includes a very steep section which is spectacular both going up and coming down. Doesn't operate in bad weather.

Islands Hopping - For about RM35, You will be brought to several islands around Langkawi, usually the Pregnant Maiden Island and Pulau Beras Basah. You will also have the chance to feed the eagles along the way.
